K-P ties civic services to polio vaccination

Chief secretary emphasizes discouraging the practice of denying polio vaccines as a means to settle other demands

PESHAWAR:

K-P has introduced linkage of civic services to polio vaccination certificate to boost vaccination rates.

K-P province has initiated efforts to tie the provision of civic services to the possession of a polio vaccination certificate, aiming to increase the vaccination ratio in the region. Recommendations in this regard will be forwarded to the federal government, as announced during a meeting of the Provincial Task Force for Anti-Polio, chaired by K-P Chief Secretary Nadeem Aslam Chaudhry.

Emphasizing the importance of administering anti-polio shots to every child, the chief secretary stressed the need for comprehensive measures to eradicate poliomyelitis.

During the meeting, it was highlighted that action should be taken against individuals involved in fake fingerprinting, and efforts should be made to improve the quality of anti-polio campaigns by identifying and rectifying shortcomings and deficiencies. Chief Secretary Chaudhry also emphasized discouraging the practice of denying polio vaccines as a means to settle other demands.
