Quality food ordered for Haripur prisoners

PESHAWAR:

Special Assistant to the K-P Caretaker Chief Minister on Prisons, Hidayatullah Khan Afridi, has instructed the authorities of Haripur and Mansehra jails to prioritize the provision of quality food and necessary facilities to prisoners.

During separate visits to the prisons, Afridi emphasized the importance of cleanliness, medical care for sick prisoners, and respectful treatment of visitors.

He inspected various areas of the prisons, including the kitchens, to ensure the quality of food being served.

Afridi highlighted the caretaker government’s commitment to creating facilities that benefit the people and emphasized the need for prisoner rehabilitation to prevent reoffending.

He also called for enhanced prison security and directed the provision of counseling services for prisoners.

Afridi urged the prison administration to maintain cleanliness and ensure the availability of all required facilities.

He was given a detailed briefing on the administrative affairs of the jails. He inquired about the menu of food maintained on a daily basis.

He added that the prisoners in the prisons should be well reformed so that after their release from the prisons, they can live like responsible citizens of society and not get involved in any type of crimes again.
