Eid Prayers: DCO orders ‘foolproof’ security
Special security measures are also being taken for the security of prominent leaders and religious scholars

The divisional administration is making foolproof security arrangements for congregations and gatherings for Eidul Fitr prayers. District coordination officer Naseem Sadiq has ordered proper security arrangements at all ijtamas and prayer sites. Walk-through gates and screening facilities are being set up at all mosques in the district for this purpose. Special security measures are also being taken for the security of prominent leaders and religious scholars in the district. Meanwhile female police officials have been deployed at shopping centres, parks and public places to monitor the security situation. The DCO appealed to the citizens to remain watchful and to report suspicious persons or activities to the police.
