PTI panel to probe ‘defections’ in mayoral polls

KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreeke-Insaf (PTI) has established an eleven-member committee, led by its Sindh President Haleem Adil Sheikh, to probe the absence of the Union Council (UC) chairmen and vice chairmen from PTI during the election of mayor and deputy mayor of Karachi.

The notification for the formation of the committee was issued by PTI Sindh General Secretary Advocate Ali Pulh. The committee is expected to submit its report to Sheikh, explaining the reasons behind absence of PTI’s representative during the voting process.
