Man held for killing friend’s guard

KURIANWALA:

A man allegedly opened fire on his friend and his guard, killing the guard while injuring his friend.

Police took possession of the body, arrested the accused along with the murder weapon and registered a case.

Iftikhar Ahmad alias Bhola had an old friendship with Zulfiqar Ali.

Iftikhar had hired Mohammad Shafiq as his guard.

Zulfiqar Ali and Iftikhar alias Bhola converged at the Dera of Ata Mohammad the other day.

During the conversation, Zulfiqar Ali got into an argument with Iftikhar alias Bhola because the former had been suspecting that Iftikhar alias Bhola had allegedly established illicit relations with his wife.

Zulfiqar Ali opened fire on Iftikhar’s guard, Shafiq, killing him on the spot and injuring Iftikhar who was shifted to the Allied Hospital.

Police reached the spot and arrested Zulfiqar Ali with the murder weapon.
