Bing's Chatbot integrates voice feature for desktop
Microsoft has bought Bing's voice mode to Edge on desktop, in its latest update. Users can ask questions using their voice and will receive a response in Bing's voice.
Similar to the mobile version of Edge users can use the microphone button on Bing’s chat box and then ask their question aloud.
Supporting English, Japanese, French, German, and Mandarin, with other languages on the way, Microsoft Bing is aggressively competing with Google to win the position of top-used search engine.
The move comes as the company seeks to discontinue Cortana on Windows, which helped users achieve tasks on their laptops with voice commands.
Microsoft is working on an AI-powered Copilot built into Windows 11, replacing Cortana and letting users ask questions, summarize the content they're viewing, adjust their PC’s settings, and more.
