CNG stations: No shutdown till Eid in Punjab
They will remain open until September 4 without any weekly closure
LAHORE:
All CNG stations in the five regions of Punjab remained open on Monday after the government decided to suspend the weekly CNG shutdown to facilitate intercity travelling ahead of Eidul Fitr. They will remain open until September 4 without any weekly closure, according to a government announcement. Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) spokesman Awais Bajwa said on Monday that gas supply to CNG stations of Lahore, Sheikhupura, Gujranwala, Multan and Sahiwal regions would continue and the new load-shedding policy would be announced after Eid. The chairman of the Supreme Council of the All Pakistan CNG Association, Ghiyyas Abdullah Paracha, appreciated the decision of the government, saying that people of the province would get some relief because of the non-stop CNG supply.
