Haven’t met the one I would marry: Sara Ali Khan breaks silence on rumours of dating Shubman Gill
Actor Sara Ali Khan, who is rumoured to be dating cricketer Shubman Gill, answered specific questions about her marriage plans during a promotional event for her recently released film Zara Hatke Zara Bachke.
Sara’s grandmother and veteran superstar Sharmila Tagore married Indian cricketer Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. In an interview with India Today, the Kedarnath actor was asked if she is open to following in the footsteps of her grandmother on the personal front as well.
“I think that the kind of person that I am… To find somebody, it doesn’t matter what they do — actor, cricketer, businessman, doctor… Maybe not doctors, they will run away,” she chuckled. “But you know the truth is that, jokes apart, you will need to match me on a mental and intellectual level. And if you can do that, I think it’s great. That would matter to me much, much more [than the profession].”
Rumours of Sara and Shubman seeing each other started making rounds after the two of them were spotted having dinner at a restaurant last year. Neither of them has reacted to the news so far, even though they have been spotted together on several occasions since.
However, it seems like Shubman is not a match for Sara. When asked if she is open to dating someone from the current Indian cricket squad, the Love Aaj Kal actor said, “I’ll be honest with you. I can say this with almost surety that the person I am going to be with in my life, I have not met so far. I really don’t think so.”
Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, starring Sara and Vicky Kaushal in the lead role, released in theatres on June 2, and has been performing decently at the box office.
