Galaxy Z Flip 5 leak reveals its biggest features

Reputable leaker releases expected launch date, details about phone's feature upgrades

While there had been a handful of rumours surrounding the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 5, a recent leak has revealed everything including its launch window and price.

Reputable leaker, Yogesh Brar tweeted that the smartphone will launch on July 26 or 27 and cost $999.

In terms of specs, Samsung doesn't seem to making any big changes to its new smartphone in its Z series. The Flip 5 will be outfitted with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, which will be different from its predecessor.

The upcoming phone will have 8GB of RAM as well as 128 and 256GB storage options, with a 3,700mAh battery and support 25W charging. The Z Flip 5 will run on Android 13 at launch with OneUI 5.1.

There had been much speculation around the screens of the new phone but according to Brar, he outer screen will be a 3.4-inch HD AMOLED panel but doesn't mention how it will be shaped around the two cameras. When unfolded, the main display will be a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120hz refresh rate, similar to Z Flip 4.
