More lust or love? ‘Lust Stories 2’ features Kajol, Vijay Varma, Neena Gupta

The teaser for the anthology was shared on social media

Lust Stories first premiered on OTT in 2018 and ever since then, fans have been waiting for more drama, love and seduction. The wait is now finally over with the teaser out for Lust Stories 2. With an ensemble cast, the anthology promises to explore the complexities of modern-day relationships and all that comes with them.

Netflix India, on Tuesday, announced Lust Stories 2 on Instagram. "Do you believe in lust at first sight? 'Cause we're here to walk by again. Brand new stories with a grand new cast. Lust Stories 2 coming soon, only on Netflix!” read the caption.

The dramatic clip opens with the charismatic Neena Gupta, portraying the role of an elderly woman, offering marital advice (read: sex advice) to an undisclosed couple. The montage sequences that follow showcase Kajol's infectious laughter, adding a touch of joy and lightheartedness to the narrative.

Viewers will also be treated to new pairings, with Vijay Varma and Tamannaah Bhatia, who are rumoured to be dating in real life, and Mrunal Thakur sharing an enchanting dance sequence with Angad Bedi. The teaser offers a tantalising glimpse of the film's storylines.

Lust Stories 2 consists of four unique stories, each helmed by renowned directors Amit Ravindernath Sharma, Konkona Sen Sharma, R Balki, and Sujoy Ghosh. The stellar cast includes Kajol, Vijay, Tamannaah, Mrunal, Angad, Tillotama Shome, Amruta Subhash, Neena, and Kumud Mishra.

The first installment of Lust Stories, directed by Karan Johar, Anurag Kashyap, Zoya Akhtar, and Dibakar Banerjee, received critical acclaim. The original anthology was even nominated in two categories at the 2019 International Emmys, namely Best TV Movie/Mini-Series and Best Actress for Radhika Apte. The film featured an elaborate cast, including Vicky Kaushal, Kiara Advani, Bhumi Pednekar, Manisha Koirala, Radhika, Sanjay Kapoor, Neha Dhupia, and Neil Bhoopalam.

As the anticipation for Lust Stories 2 continues to build, fans eagerly await the release of this enthralling anthology. The release date, however, is not known yet.
