Feroze Khan shares old clip of Salman Khan flaunting violent behaviour
Actor Feroze Khan recently raised eyebrows when he shared a Salman Khan clip on his Instagram story recently. You stop and wonder if the crossover is strange enough, till you discover the subject material in the aforementioned video. It's Salman talking about how if he'd hit a woman, she wouldn't survive.
Feroze's Insta Story share included this once-viral clip from one of Salman's many fan pages. The account shared the clip with the caption, "I trust this 'no it's not true' more than my life." This is also, of course, the same clip in which Salman talks about getting angry at the journalist who initially asked that question, banging the table and startling them in the process.
The actual footage belongs to NDTV, in which the journalist asks the Ek Tha Tiger actor if he ever hit a woman, implying Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. "Now the woman has said that I have - you know," stated Salman, trailing off. The journalist interjects by asking, "You don't want to get into it?" The actor then recalls how, when another journalist had asked him the same question a long time ago, he banged the table which left the journalist startled. The Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor stated, "The table nearly broke. So if I were to beat someone up, it's obviously going to be a fight and I would be angry. If I'm going to whack, I'd give her my best shot. I don't think she [the woman] would survive it."
It is interesting to note that Feroze shared this video when allegations of abuse against Salman are plenty. Pinkvilla once reported (in a now-deleted link) Aishwarya saying, "He would call me and talk rubbish. He also suspected that I was having affairs with my co-stars. There were times when Salman got physical with me, luckily without leaving any marks. I would go to work as if nothing happened. That is why, like any other self-respecting woman, I ended my relationship with him."
As reported by Hindustan Times, another former partner, Somy Ali, has shared multiple posts on social media, in which she has accused Salman of physical, sexual, and verbal abuse. The former actor said she has never praised the actor and it took her 20 years to come out with her truth due to trauma. "I want Salman to confess what he put me through, from the verbal, sexual and physical abuse and I want a public apology which an egomaniac and a narcissistic individual will probably never do," Somy is reported to have said.
Furthermore, Somy also stated, "I want Mr Khan to look at himself in the mirror and ask himself this question: How can you say that you have never hit me or abused me? How can you live with yourself, knowing that I’ve done these things and blatantly denied them and then have the audacity to ban my show? Shame on you. I hope that you find the grace in yourself to apologise publicly and to confess what you have done.”
Feroze himself has been embroiled in a similar ordeal. His ex-wife, Syeda Aliza Sultan submitted evidence in court of having suffered alleged physical abuse at his hands. Many celebrities, including Feroze's co-stars, spoke up in Aliza's favour in the aftermath. Feroze, however, has denied all evidence of abuse against him. "I, Feroze Khan, vehemently deny any and all baseless, malicious and untruthful allegations which have been levelled against me and are circulating on the social media rumour mill," he shared in an Instagram Story. "These allegations have no basis in truth or reality."
Feroze also served defamation notices to several artists for [levelling] false and baseless allegations against him. Taking to Twitter, the Khaani actor shared, "Defamation legal notice has been served by my legal team to those for [sharing] false and baseless allegations."
