Agriculture museum showcases rich heritage

HYDRABAD:

The Sindh Agriculture University is set to establish its first agriculture museum on its campus in Tandojam, Hyderabad.

The museum will have eight galleries showcasing various aspects of the region’s agricultural history. These galleries will exhibit a range of artefacts, including historical agricultural implements, handmade tools, irrigation systems, crop seeds, models of animal species, traditional crop patterns, old storage systems, and soil samples from Sindh. Additionally, the museum will feature models of animal transport, loading carts, bullock carts, threads, ropes, and textile tools from the ancient city of Moen jo Daro.

The Vice-Chancellor, Prof Dr Fateh Marri, has instructed the museum committee to catalogue Sindh’s agricultural heritage comprehensively.
