Miranda Priestly, Moira Rose, Anarkali: Zeenat Aman lists iconic characters she would love to play
Can we imagine the iconic veteran actor Zeenat Aman as Schitts Creek’s Moira Rose? Well, she certainly can! Aman, dressed in an Audrey Hepburn- inspired look, shared how models and actors get to see themselves the way others would see them.
Talking about creative collaborations, she listed several characters she would have loved to play on the silver screen. From Anarkali to Tanya McQuid and Miranda Priestly, Aman gave a shoutout to all the female characters that have inspired her on screen.
On Tuesday, Aman wowed her followers with stunning pictures from her latest photoshoot, showcasing her impeccable style. Dressed in an elegant black dress, she added a touch of sophistication with a classic pearl necklace. Eager to hear her fans' thoughts on her look, Aman shared, "I find it quite Hepburn inspired! As a model and actor, creative collaborations are so interesting because you get to see yourself as others see you. It also involves trust and patience."
However, the Don actor didn't stop there. She went on to mention the iconic roles she would have loved to portray on the silver screen. "Speaking of Hepburn has me thinking about all the talented actors whose work I've enjoyed over the years." She proceeded to name characters like Tanya McQuoid in White Lotus portrayed by Jennifer Coolidge, Rosie in Guide played by Waheeda Rehman, Anarkali in Mughal-e-Azam portrayed exquisitely by Madhubala, and Cesira in Two Women brought to life by Sophia Loren.
She also remembered the icy nonchalance of Miranda Priestly from The Devil Wears Prada, played by Meryl Streep and Sridevi’s Shashi Godbole in English Vinglish. Aman further added Jessica Rabbit in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, seductively voiced by Kathleen Turner and Miss Piggy in The Muppets.
The last one on her list was a suggestion by fans that really stuck to her. “By popular demand and for my own amusement – Moira Rose from Schitt’s Creek, played by the brilliant Catherine O’Hara,” she concluded.
Aman expressed her admiration for these women and their exceptional acting skills, emphasising the enduring impact of the characters they portrayed. She encouraged her followers to share the female characters from cinema and television that have inspired them.
"I just have to appreciate the acting prowess of all these women. They gave us characters that will resonate for decades. Who are the female characters in cinema and TV that have inspired you? Don't be shy to be creative with your suggestions!" she wrote.
On the work front, Aman was last seen in the 2017 Shah Rukh Khan and Mahira Khan starrer Raees.
