SSWMB’s Eid cleanliness campaign takes shape

The meeting discussed the collection of over 77,000 tons of garbage from the city

The Sindh Solid Waste Management Board (SSWMB) has developed a comprehensive plan for a cleanliness campaign during Eidul Azha.

The plan includes efficient waste disposal using a modern and integrated system. The Managing Director of SSWMB, Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah approved the final plan during a meeting attended by officers from all seven districts and representatives of Chinese companies.

The meeting discussed the collection of over 77,000 tons of garbage from the city, with the establishment of more than 85 collection points, the use of over 6,800 vehicles, and the involvement of over 24,000 personnel. Additionally, 18 trenches will be dug on the outskirts of the city. The operation will be monitored through satellite tracking and physical supervision.
