KARACHI:

A westerly weather system brought light rain to several areas, including the city's suburbs, on Monday. Nooriabad and Kathore experienced a series of light showers. At the same time, suburbs like Port Qasim, Steel Town, Gadap Town, Pipri, Malir Cattle Market, Bin Qasim Town, Gulshane Hadeed, Shah Latif Town, and Cattle Colony also witnessed scattered showers and thunderstorms. The formation of clouds in some parts of the city provided relief from the heat and made the weather slightly pleasant.

Additionally, Shahrahe Faisal, Gulshane Jamal, Clifton, Saddar, and Korangi Creek areas also received light rain. The city experienced lightning and thunder throughout Sunday and Monday nights.

Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) Early Warning Center predicts hot and humid weather with maximum temperatures between 35 to 37 degrees Celsius for the next three days. The rural districts of Sindh are expected to receive moderate to heavy rains and intermittent thundershowers until May 31.
