KARACHI:

Senior Deputy Convener of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement - Pakistan (MQM-P) Mustafa Kamal expressed his belief that eliminating Imran Khan's narrative would not be possible. People continue to support Imran Khan despite his alleged anti-state narrative.

Kamal said, if Asif Ali Zardari wants to make Bilawal the prime minister, he must first ensure that the people of Karachi receive their rights. He also mentioned that anyone wishing to join MQM from PTI would be welcomed. He mentioned that the cost of the K4 project has escalated to Rs200 billion instead of the initial estimate of Rs25 billion. He expressed concerns that K4 water will not be available to the people of Karachi unless the federal government provides it to Sindh.

Kamal held the Sindh government responsible for the existing problems of Karachi. He also criticised the occupation of Karachi's land by influential individuals within the Sindh government and the Kamal emphasised that people's support for Imran Khan cannot be quickly diminished and criticised those who believed people would forget him. He highlighted the resilience of the MQM despite facing difficulties, including violence and the disappearance of party members.
