Five injured in PMT blast
Kubar said a new PMT is being installed in the burnt one’s replacement
HYDERABAD:
An explosion in a pole mounted transformer (PMT) in Hashmi Colony, Hyderabad SITE area, on Friday left five persons injured.
Two persons who sustained serious wounds were shifted to Liaquat University Hospital while three persons sustained mild injuries.
The spokesman of Hyderabad Electric Supply Company (HESCO) Sadiq Kubar told The Express Tribune that a 200KV PMT exploded because it was overloaded with illegal connections.
Kubar said a new PMT is being installed in the burnt one’s replacement.
