Man kills children on suspicion of incest

A man in doubt over incestuous relation between his son and daughter killed them for the sake of so-called ‘honour’, it emerged on Friday in Matiari district.

The slain siblings were from two wives of the suspect. According to SHO New Saeedabad police station Habibullah Soho, Talib Lakho and his son Mushtaq Lakho have been arrested.

SHO Soho said the suspects had thrown 18-year-old Sohni in the Rohri Canal in an unconscious condition two days ago.

Her body was found from canal’s Baqar Mori on Friday.

They later travelled to Karachi where they killed Talib’s elder son, Punhoon Lakho, and dumped his body in the bushes near the toll plaza of M9 Motorway.

Soho said mother of one the slain siblings filed a complaint with the police about the killings. The police have yet to register the FIRs.

SHO Soho said that the suspect Talib Lakho in his confessional statement said that they came to know about the illicit relationship when Sohni got pregnant.

Talib confessed to killing Punhoon and Sohni.
