Widow, infant son found murdered

In a horrifying incident that unfolded on Friday, the bodies of a widow and her infant son were discovered inside a residence in Shah Latif Town.

Police recovered a brick and a fork from the crime scene, which were believed to be the murder weapons.

The brick had been used to strike the victim’s head, while the fork had been repeatedly stabbed into her back.

SHO Idris Bangash identified the victims as Faiza, 35, and her 1.5-year-old son, Zohan. He said that Faiza, whose husband Sajid passed away four months ago, had been observing her Iddat.

He said Faiza was Sajid’s second wife. Sajid had divorced his first wife, and they did not have any children together.

The deceased woman’s brother-in-law also resided in a nearby street, and his children would visit daily to pick up young Zohan.

On the day of the incident, when the children arrived, they discovered the room locked from the outside.

Alarmed, the children informed their mother. Together, they returned to Faiza’s residence and peered through a window, only to be met with the harrowing sight of Faiza’s lifeless body
