This year, director Karan Johar wrapped up the shooting of his latest project, Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, featuring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. Recently, the cast and crew unveiled the first look of the film. This marks Johar's return to directing after his 2016 film Ae Dil Hai Mushkil starring Anushka Sharma and Ranbir Kapoor. Coincidentally, Johar also celebrated his 51st birthday on the same day.
The first look poster introduces Ranveer Singh as Rocky, portraying an "absolute heartthrob" according to Johar. Singh's image showcases a funky style with sunglasses, a gold chain, and a nearly bare-chested appearance, displaying his ripped physique. Another poster features Singh wearing a studded leather jacket, adding to the intrigue surrounding his character.
In contrast, Alia Bhatt's first look as Rani reveals a completely different avatar. She sports kohl-rimmed eyes, a black bindi, and a large nose ring, capturing the essence of her character. Johar shared the images on Instagram, inviting viewers to meet the queen who is ready to steal hearts.
Fans eagerly expressed their excitement for the film, with comments such as "We are ready!!!" and "Gorgeous as always." The anticipation for Bhatt's unique look and the chemistry between the lead pair continues to build.
In addition, Karan Johar delighted fans by sharing a behind-the-scenes video featuring Bhatt, Singh, Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. The video not only offered glimpses of the upcoming film but also included scenes from Johar's previous works, including Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham (2001), My Name Is Khan (2010), and Ae Dil Hai Mushkil (2016).
As the release date of Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani approaches, audiences eagerly await the opportunity to witness Johar's directorial vision unfold on the big screen once again.
