It is wise to ignore things: Saba Faisal on lessons learnt after controversy with daughter-in-law
Some mistakes end up teaching us grave lessons and veteran actor Saba Faisal has been there and done that! The Chand Tara actor recently aired dirty laundry between her and her daughter-in-law, Neha Salman. on social media and their chain of online bickering created a huge controversy. While the actor deleted her videos and apologised at that time, she has now reflected on how that incident taught her patience.
Saba made a guest appearance on a local show Chocolate Times With Ayesha Jahanzeb where she discussed how she came out stronger from the controversy regarding her relationship with Neha. Reflecting on the situation, Saba acknowledged her mistake and stated that she could have dealt with things differently.
“I was involved in a major controversy a few days ago, and I believe that it was my fault. I unnecessarily spoke about something but then I learnt from my naive and immature behaviour. I learnt that I should have ignored or avoided it,” she stated.Saba further added that she now practises patience over impulsive behaviours. “It would have been wise to simply ignore or handle it with silence. Now, I know that when something happens, I should just stay quiet about it.”
Earlier this year, the Humsafar actor criticised Neha for breaking up her family. In a three-minute-long video, the Dil-e-Momin actor revealed that she has severed ties with her son, Salman Faisal and his wife of four years, Neha, due to irrevocable differences. The rumours regarding issues between Saba and Neha had been making rounds on social media for months.
The actor claimed that she had lived “a very difficult life for the last four years” and was worried about her son’s life with a “negative” person like Neha. Asking her followers, and fans to not be judgmental, the Habs actor relayed, "You can't judge us on such comments. I am not asking you to decide without listening to the other side of the story nor am I holding anyone accountable. I am only saying Salman can live with his wife if he wishes, but we have decided to part ways with him as a family." However, after backlash from industry colleagues and fans, she eventually decided to remove the video and later issued an apology.
