One more citizen was killed for putting up resistance during a robbery bid in Ahsanabad area near Site Super Highway.
According to the details, armed men tried to rob a citizen identified as Abdul Basit in Ahsanabad, Mashriq Society, within the limits of Site Super Highway police station. The citizen put up resistance on which the criminals opened fire on him. Basit sustained serious bullet injuries. He was rushed to a hospital but could not survive.
Earlier, Safdar Hussain, a trustee of an Imambargah in Korangi, was shot dead when he resisted during a robbery bid. The concerned police station has not yet registered a murder case.
Azhar Hussain, son of Safdar Hussain, was also shot dead by bandits in the same area six days ago.
This year, 55 citizens have lost their lives for offering resistance during street crimes in the city.
A day earlier, four accused on two motorcycles started robbing the citizens near Korangi 4, Kalo Chowk Sughra Imambargah. The citizens resisted, on which the accused opened fire and fled.
According to the SSP Korangi, 60-year-old Safdar Hussain died before reaching Jinnah Hospital. He was shot four bullets on his chest. Azhar Hussain, the son of the deceased was also killed six days ago in the same area by robbers. CCTV footage of the incident has also come to the light.
