Ranbir Kapoor shares advice for couples stuck in 'unhappy relationships'
Indian star Ranbir Kapoor has been making headlines thanks to his recent offering, Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar. In the Luv Ranjan directorial, the renowned actor plays the protagonist, Rohan Arora aka Mickey. Kapoor's character in the film helps other couples, who are stuck in unhappy relationships, break up.
In his latest interview, the actor responded to some burning questions asked by journalists. The Bollywood star, 40, spilt some tea about whether he shares some similarities with Mickey during a recent tell-all, as per Pinkvilla.
When asked about whether or not Kapoor has ever given advice or followed a plan to help a couple call it quits, he said that he had probably given advice ‘during school’. He went on to share some thoughts regarding the same, stating that the formula to leaving someone is simple and should be done if ‘you are no longer in love with them, or are 'interested in someone else’.
Kapoor shared, "I am sure that I have advised some friends who want to kind of get out of relationships in school and all. You just have to be honest if you aren’t in love with someone or if you are falling in love with somebody else."
However, the actor went on to deny formulating a thorough ‘break up’ plan like his character did in the film. "But I have not devised a plan. If you are asking what Mickey does in the film, it's very different from probably what we do in life. Tough life," he said.
This isn’t the only time where the question has been brought up. Another instance was when his cousin, Kareena Kapoor Khan, on her show What Women Want asked the actor whether he was ever a 'Makkaar' in his relationships. Admitting to being a 'Makkar', Kapoor also said that with time and age, he has realised that ‘being honest’ with your partner results in a ‘deeper’ connection.
Kapoor seems to be true to his own love advice as he and his wife, superstar Alia Bhatt, recently celebrated their first wedding anniversary. Their bond has further been strengthened ever since they welcomed their baby girl, Raha. Bhatt recently shared a heartwarming moment between Kapoor and her daughter with a heartfelt caption saying, ‘My world’.
