Raise your voice: Rakhi Sawant urges Pakistanis to stand up for Imran Khan
Reality TV star Rakhi Sawant is truly the gift that keeps on giving. Known for her unfiltered approach to life, over-the-top antics, fluctuating (but diverse) set of beliefs, and her recurring role in Bigg Boss, Sawant has continued to be a constant source of entertainment over the years.
In an unexpected move, the Main Hoon Na star has come out and spoken up for the former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan. She took to TikTok to urge Pakistanis to stand up for Khan in a manner that is true to her persona.
"Raise your voice, Pakistanis - free Imran Khan," stated an impassioned Sawant in her TikTok video. With the focus on her sombre face, Sawant continued to empower Khan's followers with unparalleled words of hope. "If this had happened in our country, all hell would have been loose."
She further chided, "Stop wasting time on TikTok and go raise your voice. Go! Rise, Pakistanis. Rise!" stated Sawant in the viral video.

This is not the first time that Sawant has affiliated herself with Pakistani politics, or the nation in general. In 2019, she shared a video of Khan talking about releasing India's pilot as a gesture of peace. "Thanks - PM from Pakistan, thanks," wrote Sawant in the caption.
Furthermore, Sawant was embroiled in a controversy on both sides of the border when images of her draped in the Pakistan flag surfaced. The performer clarified that she loved her country and the image was in reference to a character she was playing.
