Ranbir doesn’t like it if I raise my voice above this decibel: Alia Bhatt on husband's temperament

Actor offered a glimpse into her personality and her husband's disapproval of her short temper

In a recent interview with Vice India, Bollywood sensation Alia Bhatt offered a glimpse into her personality while she candidly discussed the seven deadly sins: lust, envy, pride, wrath, sloth, greed, and gluttony. Notably, Alia expressed her love for simple, home-cooked meals, particularly relishing dishes such as daal-chawal, bhindi ki sabzi, tadka dahi, achaar, and a milk cake being her favourite dessert.

During the discussion, Alia also shed light on her husband, renowned actor Ranbir Kapoor, when she touched upon the topic of wrath and her struggle to control her anger, particularly in situations involving incompetence. Alia shared that she makes a concerted effort to manage her anger as Ranbir dislikes raised voices, believing in the importance of kindness even amidst unhappiness. Alia also expressed admiration for her husband's calm nature, describing his mind as saint-like.

She said, “The one thing that immediately puts me into a fit of anger is incompetence and I have to try very hard to control my anger because my husband doesn’t like it if my voice goes above this decibel because he thinks it is not fair, and that it is important to be kind even when you are unhappy.”

When asked about pride, sloth, and greed, Alia reflected on her past achievements and personal experiences. Pride washed over her as she reminisced about the box office success of her film Gangubai Kathiawadi from the previous year. Alia proudly stated that she felt no guilt in celebrating this milestone, highlighting her collaboration with esteemed filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali, a dream come true for her.

Discussing sloth, Alia revealed the importance of starting her day with a workout. She confessed that when she neglects exercise, a sense of laziness lingers throughout the day. Additionally, Alia shared a lesson learned in greed when she inadvertently ordered skincare products she already possessed, only to have them lost in customs, teaching her the futility of excessive desire.

The interview concluded with a lighthearted request for a "drunk story," to which Alia politely declined, expressing her reluctance to share such personal anecdotes. Shifting gears to her professional life, Alia's latest appearance was in the film Brahmastra, and now she eagerly awaits the release of Karan Johar's directorial venture, Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani.
