Obituary: Ex-minorities minister passes away

He was an advocate of interfaith harmony and participated in various dialogues on minorities’ rights in the country.

ISLAMABAD:
Former state minister for minorities’ affairs Mushtaq Victor died of cancer on Sunday evening at the Poly Clinic Hospital, Islamabad. Victor was suffering from intestinal cancer. He was an advocate of interfaith harmony and participated in various dialogues on minorities’ rights in the country. Towards the end of his tenure as state minister in 2007, Victor got into trouble with the Federal Investigation Agency. He was implicated in human trafficking. However, Victor was bailed out by a court.
