Inspector General Police (IGP) Punjab Dr Usman Anwar paid tribute to Constable Ghulam Qasim, who was martyred by suspects in Rajanpur during ongoing operations in riverine areas.

According to the details, Shaheed Constable Ghulam Qasim hailed from Rajanpur and was serving in Elite force.

Having joined the Punjab Police in 2008, he completed the elite police training course from September 2015 to April 2016. He is survived by his mother and wife.

Moreover, the grand operation launched by the Punjab Police remains ongoing and operational successes were reported. IGP Punjab said that Punjab Police personnel have caused heavy damage to the enemy and added that morale among officers participating in the operation is high, in spite of the loss of a fellow officer.

The hideout of notorious criminal Kabil Sikhani was destroyed in the Rajwani area. Dr Anwar deemed Sikhani a symbol of fear and terror due to his criminal activities.
