PESHAWAR:

The son of the former governor of the province, Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra, who raised the flag of revolt against the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leadership of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P), expressed full confidence in the leadership of provincial President Engineer Amir Muqam.

The former governor of the province, Iqbal, along with another former governor Sardar Mehtab Abbasi and former information minister Abdul Subhan Khan, and other long-time and ideological workers of the party, organised rallies against the current provincial party leadership.

They have also scheduled a workers’ convention in Peshawar on May 5.

However, on the other hand, Farhan Zafar Jhagra, son of Iqbal, went to Islamabad to meet the provincial president at his residence.

Expressing full confidence in Maqam, Farhan said that it is the urgent need of the hour to move forward together to remove all kinds of misunderstandings and strengthen the party.

Muqam thanked Farhan for his visit to his residence and said that Iqbal is not only a senior party leader but also an elder respected by them.

He noted that he always had a brotherly relationship with them and expressed his commitment in taking everyone along within the party.

Muqam said that the party is united under the leadership of supremo Nawaz Sharif and President Shabaz Sharif and is always striving to serve the country.
