KARACHI:

Flour mill owners have alleged that the provincial government has not provided them wheat despite receiving payment of Rs3 billion.

The delay in release of wheat from the government to the millers has led to fear of flour crisis across the city.

Pakistan Flour Mills Association (PFMA) Sindh Chairman Chaudhry Amir Abdullah called an emergency meeting of flour mills owners to discuss the wheat supply issue.

In the meeting, flour mill owners accused the Sindh Food Department of not supplying wheat even after taking payments worth over Rs3 billion from the flour mills.
