Army officer allegedly tortured

Over 15 people allegedly joined in on the assault, torturing the victim and attempting to abduct him

Director Public Relations (DPR) Punjab Police Nayab Haider and his sons were booked over allegedly torturing a Pakistan Army Major in South Cantonment on Friday.

The victim Mohammed Ibrahim alleged in an FIR that he and his mother, children and other relatives were returning to his home in Gulshan-e-Ravi from DHA. Near Cavalry Ground, a grey car was driving slowly in the fast lane and the victim overtook it from the center lane.

The driver was infuriated over it and he followed Ibrahim, intercepted him at Cavalry Bridge and started hurling abuse. As Ibrahim was getting out of his car, Nayab allegedly started torturing him. Over 15 people allegedly joined in on the assault, torturing the victim and attempting to abduct him. The victim alleged that the suspects also misbehaved with his mother and threatened him with a pistol.
