Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi expressed his annoyance over the slow pace of work at the under-construction Nishtar-II Hospital during his visit on Tuesday. He directed authorities to ensure completion of the hospital within the stipulated time period and warned that action would be taken against officials responsible for delays in the construction of the hospital.
The CM instructed officials to make a work plan progress report and submit it to the CM office on a daily basis. He further directed Commissioner Multan Aamir Khattak to take strict action against officials and added that construction work should be done in three shifts. Commissioner Multan briefed the Caretaker CM about the issuance and utilisation of funds.

He informed that Rs9.45 billion had been released for the project, with Rs6.12 billion spent so far. The hospital is being constructed on 58 acres and will initially have a total of 500 beds.
On this occasion, provincial Minister for Specialized Healthcare and Medical Education Dr Javed Akram, Provincial Minister for Information Aamir Mir and others were also present.
