Two dead in firing incidents

The victim's body was taken to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem, and further investigations are underway

Two individuals were fatally shot in separate incidents in different areas of the city on the eve of Eidul Fitr.

A teenage boy, Hasan Ullah, was hit by a bullet in his abdomen near his home in Metrovale Zia Colony. Mominabad police station SHO Asghar Kongo claimed that as per the preliminary investigation the incident occurred due to firing in a nearby house. The medico-legal officer also noted in the autopsy report that the bullet had hit the victim from a distance of less than 200 yards. SHO Asghar said the grieving family of the victim was in a shock and they would record their statement later. Separately, 32-year-old Zahir Hussain was fatally shot near Sher Shah Paracha Chowk in the SITE area. The rescue authorities claimed that robbers shot him during a robbery, but the SITE B police are uncertain of the motive behind the firing and the identity of the perpetrator(s). The victim's body was taken to Jinnah Hospital for post-mortem, and further investigations are underway.
