PTI leader Zaidi released from Malir jail

KARACHI:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader Ali Zaidi, who was arrested in a fraud case by the Ibrahim Hyderi police, was released from District Jail Malir after being granted bail.
On the occasion of Zaidi's release, a large number of PTI leaders, officials, and workers were present outside the Malir jail. They welcomed him with a flower garland.

Speaking to the media on the occasion, Zaidi said, “Thanks be to Allah that I have passed this ordeal. The former prime minister (Imran Khan) of this country was hit by bullets and no FIR was registered.

“When a former premier could not file an FIR of his will, then on the other hand, [who can stop] a member of the National Assembly [from being] taken away in a 10-year-old case.”

The PTI leader thanked his colleagues, saying that they stood by him all the time. He expressed his gratefulness to all his PTI colleagues.
