In a bizarre incident, a police official and his brothers on Tuesday night allegedly stormed the Pirabad police station to secure the release of a carcinogenic tobacco chew (gutka and mawa) vendor who was taken into custody during a police operation near the Dak Khana area.

A brother of the suspected gutka and mawa vendor, identified as Usman, is a police officer stationed at the district headquarters. The police officer and his brothers, identified as Asif Badar, Jamshed Badar, Zeeshan Badar, and Sher Dil, allegedly stormed the Pirabad police station under the pretext of meeting Usman.

As per details, the police staff stopped the police officer and his brothers from entering the lockup on which they rioted and ransacked the police station.

They created a commotion by smashing the main glass door panel of the SHO’s office before leaving in a huff.

When contacted, police authorities confirmed rioting and vandalism at Pirabad police station. A case has been registered under Sections 353, 147, 148, 506, 224, 225, 427, 186, and 511 of the Pakistan Penal Code against Asif Badar, Jamshed Badar, Zeeshan Badar, and Sher Dil.

The CCTV footage of rioting and vandalism at the police station has surfaced on social media which clearly shows the accused shoving police officials inside the police station.
