Principal allegedly tortures student

A private school student was allegedly beaten by his school principal.

According to details, Muhammad Abdullah Khan, a sixth-grade student of Green High School in Nowshera’s Soon Valley, was allegedly subjected to severe physical abuse by school principal Mazharul Haq in front of other students. The incident spread fear and panic among the students present at the time.

Speaking to The Express Tribune, the victim’s parents said that their child, who was a position holder at the school, had gone to school in the morning but told them when he returned home that he had been brutally beaten by the principal, despite fasting for Ramadan.

The parents also shared that the principal blatantly disregarded the Punjab Chief Minister’s slogan “Mar Nahi Pyar” (“Love, not hate”) while abusing their child. The parents demanded immediate action from the Chief Minister and district officers against the principal.

Upon being contacted, the principal admitted to torturing the child.
