Balochistan gets first Civil Service Academy

Chief secretary says it will usher province in new era of development

Chief Secretary Abdul Aziz Uqaili has inaugurated the Balochistan Civil Service Academy in Quetta, which aims to bring reforms in the provincial civil service and increase the officers’ efficiency.

Uqaili witnessed the first Mid-Career Management Course during a ceremony, which was attended by the provincial secretaries and retired bureaucrats.

While addressing the ceremony, the chief secretary said: "The establishment of the academy in Quetta is an initiative of the Balochistan government that will usher in a new era of development."

Uqaili praised Chief Minister Abdul Quddus Bizenjo for his unwavering support in that matter, saying: "All credit goes to the Balochistan chief minister whose patronage and guidance helped in the establishment of the academy."

He assured that the provincial government would cooperation in making the academy more effective.

The chief secretary said that strengthening the capacity of the province's young officers was the academy's primary goal when speaking about its principal aim.

"Talented and trained officers have a key role in the development and construction of Balochistan," the chief secretary added. He hoped that the young officers would fully utilise this resource to advance their knowledge and understand how to provide the greatest services to the public.
