Petrol pump NOCs to be fast-tracked

Caretaker Chief Minister Punjab Mohsin Naqvi ordered the issuance of pending NOCs to petrol pumps across Punjab by May 1st. The decision was made to reduce unemployment and promote investment in the province.
Naqvi directed the relevant authorities to clear all NOCs within 15 days. Thousands of employment opportunities for the youth will be generated with the establishment of new petrol pumps. As many as 1,264 applications for setting new petrol pumps are still pending across all districts of Punjab.
On average, 30-35 persons will be employed at each of the new petrol pumps, with over 30,000 people employed by granting NOCs to over 1,200 petrol pumps
