A local businessman was killed by armed men wearing police uniforms during a broad daylight robbery on Defence Road within Morgah police limits.

The victim, identified as Farhan Israr Warsi, who was involved in the business of petroleum products and hoteling, was waylaid by a number of unidentified armed men while he was travelling along with two others.

According to sources, the armed men threw the handcuffed body of the victim outside the Fuji Foundation Hospital and fled. The armed men also took away the car and mobile phones.

According to the authorities, Farhan Israr along with his friend and employee was going to the Defence Road in the car when armed men in black uniforms in a Vigo car with a revolving light stopped their car.

The armed men hit Farhan Israr in the face with multiple bullets. The accused threw the handcuffed body of the deceased and his two companions outside the Fuji Foundation Hospital and escaped.

Police shifted the body to the hospital for a post-mortem and collected the evidence.

Police said that evidence was being collected from closed-circuit cameras outside Fuji Foundation Hospital, Defense Road and Jhelum Road from where the victim was abducted.
