Meanwhile, AVCC police, alerted by the family of the abducted youth, was tracing the kidnappers through available technology and network of informants.

As soon as, four accused received the cash, AVCC Police arrested them and recovered both youths from the room of Shah Lateef Town police station. The suspects spilled the beans and told the police that they were 'private party' of the SHO and had kidnapped the boys for ransom. They also told the AVCC that Asad and Arman were being held in a room at the Shah Lateef Town police station.

Subsequently, an AVCC team raided the police station and recovered the two young men.

However, the Shah Lateef Town police station SHO insisted that a special team of Malir police had detained these youths in the police station. "My team has done nothing in this regard. Moreover, my mobile was not used in any such activity," he told The Express Tribune. Investigation started regarding the incident.
