Nine killed in Punjab road crashes

At least 1,185 injured in 1,162 RTCs across Punjab during the last 24 hours

At least nine people died and 1,185 were injured in 1,162 Road Traffic Crashes (RTCs) across Punjab during the last 24 hours.

Of the injured, 615 people with serious injuries were shifted to different hospitals, while 570 victims with minor injuries were treated at the incident site by Rescue Medical Teams.

The majority of RTCs, 70 percent, involved motorbikes. Further analysis showed that 564 drivers, 33 underage drivers, 159 pedestrians, and 471 passengers were among the victims of RTCs.

The statistics show that 299 RTCs were reported in Lahore with 289 victims, placing the Provincial Capital at top of the list. Faisalabad followed behind with 101 RTCs and 105 victims and Multan at third 64 with 66 victims.

The details further reveal that 1,185 victims were affected by RTCs including 967 males and 227 females, while the age group of the victims shows that 255 were under 18 years of age, 623 were between 18 and 40 years old.
