Jason Momoa eyed as the villain for ‘Tiger vs Pathaan’
The latest buzz surrounding the upcoming Bollywood film Tiger vs Pathaan is the potential inclusion of Hollywood actor Jason Momoa as the villain. Momoa, best known for his portrayal of Aquaman in the DC Universe, is being considered for the role in the film directed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Yash Raj Films within the YRF Spy Universe, as reported by Entertainment Times.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh had previously stated on Twitter that YRF and Anand were planning to rope in a big-time Hollywood star for the role of the main villain. According to the unconfirmed reports, Momoa is currently the top choice for the part. The plot of the film remains under wraps, but given the title and cast, one can expect a larger-than-life showdown.
Tiger Vs Pathaan is slated to be one of the most expensive Bollywood films ever made, with a budget of Rs. 300 crores (approximately $40 million) excluding the actors' fees, as reported by Bollywood Hungama. The film, which is reportedly set to have a similar vibe to Marvel's Captain America: Civil War, is expected to release in 2025 after being teased in Hrithik Roshan's upcoming film, WAR 2.
Momoa's inclusion in the film would mark his first appearance in a Bollywood movie. However, it wouldn't be the first time he crossed paths with Shah Rukh Khan, as the two actors had met at The Entertainment Industry Forum Joy Forum19 in Riyadh in 2019, where they were photographed alongside Jackie Chan and Jean-Claude Van Damme.
With Momoa's star power and the combined draw of Salman and Shah Rukh Khan, the upcoming film is shaping up to be a highly anticipated action extravaganza. Fans will have to wait and see if Momoa officially signs on for the role of the villain, but if the reports are true, it would undoubtedly add another layer of excitement to this already star-studded project.
