Muggers opened fire on two persons when they tried to resist a robbery

Suspected muggers shot and injured three persons during separate robberies near New Sabzi Mandi off Superhighway on Sunday. The first incident happened near the Afghan refugees camp cut on Northern Bypass in Gulshan-e-Maymar area.

The muggers opened fire on two persons when they tried to resist a robbery. They made off with the cash and other valuables leaving the two men badly injured who were shifted to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital in Edhi ambulances.

A spokesperson for the Karachi police identified the injured as 30-year-old Lal Zada and 35-year-old Mursaleen. Police registered the case and started investigations. In a separate incident, suspected robbers shot and injured a man near New Subzi Mandi, off Superhighway. The injured was shifted to Civil Hospital where he was identified as 22-year-old Asadullah. Police are investigating the incident.
