Actor called out PMLN Senior Vice President for ‘showing off food’ when millions in her country die of hunger

Actor Armeena Khan recently called out PMLN Senior Vice President Maryam Nawaz for “showing off food” when millions in her country die of hunger – especially given the economic turmoil the country is going through. However, the statement didn’t sit well with Nawaz’s fans.

Khan not only got trolled for speaking against the politician but her “luxurious” habits were also compared to Nawaz. A user even called her out for the things that she got for her daughter, Amelia. Earlier this week, the Bin Roye actor retweeted a video of Nawaz mixing fruit chaat for iftar. “Honey, this is in bad taste (politics aside). You showing off your food while millions in your country are dying?” Khan wrote.

To which, a user asked Khan to “let it go” and “spread positivity” because that’s just Nawaz reminding her fans that she’s as human as they are. “First of all, she didn’t prepare for that, I can tell you that. Just moving the spoon around is not food ‘prep’, those sleeves would be mucky. Also, she is anything but normal but whatever floats your boat or doesn’t,” she replied.

Comparing an actor to a politician – the state of these ‘educated’ minds,” she concluded. Khan also posted a video of New Zealand’s former prime minister Jacinda Ardern and wished Pakistan “had someone like her.”
