In a recent interview with the GQ magazine, Apple CEO Tim Cook expressed his detailed opinion regarding Augmented Reality (AR) space.

While sharing his vision regarding the new technologies, Tim Cook said, "If you think about the technology itself with augmented reality, just to take one side of the AR/VR piece, the idea that you could overlay the physical world with things from the digital world could greatly enhance people's communication, people's connection".

Tim Cook expects that the concept of Augmented Reality can help enhance connection and communication among people. Apple's CEO believes the AR environment will empower people and "may be even better than just the real world — to overlay the virtual world on top of it might be an even better world."

Although it is unclear when it is happening, Apple will certainly introduce mixed reality headsets. The product is taking longer as the company is heavily focusing on the innovation aspect of the headset.

The recent interview showed Tim Cook's enthusiasm regarding the augmented reality space. However, Apple's CEO previously considered the AR space a "flop".
