Faysal Quraishi says he 'tried to talk' to Aamir Liaquat two days before host's death
Popular television host and politician Aamir Liaquat Hussain passed away last year at his residence in Karachi. Even though many months have gone by since his death, people are still engrossed in various discussions about him.
During a recent Ramadan transmission, actor Faysal Quraishi revealed that he actually spoke to the late televangelist just a few days before his untimely death. The Fitoor star, alongside his friends, tried his best to "talk" to Hussain, but the efforts were not reciprocated.
"People are talking about Aamir a lot these days. Normally, we should talk about him in a positive light, yet people are speaking on matters before knowing the actual truth," began Quraishi. "The last few days before his death, we tried our best to speak to him, but he never responded to us and had his phone powered off."
He further added, "This is from after that obscene video went viral online. Still, we kept on trying, and one day he randomly called me. I tried to talk to him then, make him understand and sort out the issues at hand, but his only reply was, 'I'm leaving, I can't stay here longer'. The manner in which he spoke to us was so upsetting that it made our hands tremble with fear."
The Farq actor then detailed his attempt to get Hussain out of distress. "So, we also tried to make people visit his house and get him out of there, just a day or two before the news of his death came out, but our efforts all went in vain," he shared.
Before concluding, Quraishi then mentioned how people always leave behind certain traces before their death. "This is the truth about death, when a person is leaving, they always leave behind clues for us to look back on after their demise. For example, this person randomly greets you before their death, but normally never does that, it's that tiny gesture that makes you think about their demise in a different light."
