Postings and transfers: Federal govt promotes three BS-19 officers
Several bureaucrats transferred to different ministries.
ISLAMABAD:
The federal government has promoted three BS-19 officers of the Secretariat group to BS-20, besides transferring 10 other officers to different ministries and divisions.
The three officers, Muhammad Naeem, Ijaz Hussain Talpur and Mashood Ahmed Mirza, have been promoted to BS-20.
Naeem and Mirza have been posted as joint secretaries in the Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Division, while Talpur will be at the disposal of the Sindh government.
Meanwhile, Interior Ministry Joint Secretary Athar Hussain Khan has been transferred to the Ministry of Professional and Technical Training. He has been replaced by Shaikh Ziaul Haq, who had been serving as Pakistan Housing Authority’s finance director general.
In another development, Muhammad Ikram, a BS-20 officer, currently an Officer on Special Duty (OSD) in the Establishment Division, has been posted as Secretary General of Pakistan National Commission for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) under the Economic Affairs Division.
Iftikhar Raheem, another BS-20 officer at Pakistan Audit and Accounts Service, has been posted as a joint secretary at the Human Resource Development Division
OSD Talat Javaid, a BS-20 Secretariat group officer, has been appointed as Commerce Division joint secretary, while Riaz Hussain, another BS-20 officer who was OSD, has taken the charge as Human Rights Division director general on deputation basis.
In addition, four BS-19 officers have also been posted to different ministries. Hasan Mahmood was posted as deputy secretary at the Human Rights Division, while Ahmad Nadeem, the current deputy secretary, has been transferred to the Cabinet Division.
Amjad Ahmed, deputy secretary at the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs and G-B, was transferred to the Ministry of Commerce, while Niaz Muhammad Khan, a deputy secretary at the Ministry of Commerce, has been transferred to the Ministry of Industries and Production.
Mian Muhammad Zulqarnain Aamir was appointed Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) director general on deputation basis. Mian Zulqarnain Aamir, a BS-20 DMG officer, was serving in the Ministry of Industries as a joint secretary.
Capt (retd) Muhammad Hashim Tareen, a BS-20 DMG officer, has been transferred from Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) and directed to report to the Establishment Division(ED). Tareen was serving as general manager Central Support in SMEDA under the Ministry of Industries, whereas Muhammad Khurram Khan, a BS-19 DMG officer, replaced him. Khan was serving in the Ministry of Industries and his appointment was made on deputation basis.
Furthermore, Planning and Development Division Joint Secretary Rizwan Malik has been transferred to the Ministry of Textiles. Inter-Provincial Coordination Division Joint Secretary Ghayoor Sultana, a BS-20 Secretariat group officer, has been transferred to the Industries Division, and Arif Ibrahim, a BS-20 Secretariat group officer, presently OSD, will replace Sultana.
Balochistan Coastal Development Authority Assistant Director Khalid Abdullah, BS-17, has repatriated to the Government of Balochistan.
