From Amitabh Bachchan to Malala Yousafzai, celebrities wish everyone a blessed Ramazan

After the sighting of the crescent moon, many renowned figures offered their prayers and wishes online for Ramazan

The holy month of Ramazan has commenced and Muslims—and even non-Muslims—have taken to fast around the globe. Many celebrities, be it our very own stars or artists from the neighbouring country, have extended wishes and prayers to their followers for a blessed month.

Taking to Twitter, amongst many, local celebrities such as Humayun Saeed, Urwa Hocane, Fahad Mustafa and Hasan Raheem offered prayers to their fans for all the countless blessings and peace in their lives.

Nobel Peace Prize winner Malala Yousafzai also wished everyone a blissful Ramazan. "This month reminds us to be generous, giving and loving to everyone and to think of our sisters and brothers, especially those in difficult situations. I hope we practice its teachings and message throughout the year," wrote the Joyland executive producer.

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan and Big Boss star Umar Riaz also tweeted warm wishes for Muslims in India and around the world.

Indian actor Sophie Choudry also penned down a heartfelt message for her followers. "Ramazan Mubarak to everyone celebrating across the world. May it be a month of peace, and spiritual connection and May Allah accept your prayers," she said.

Taking to Instagram, Simi Rahael and Adnan Siddiqui also shared videos to relay their sentiments about the holy month. The Sabaat actor uploaded a clip of plants and greenery with a caption that read, "Our lives are like a garden. They bring flowers, fruit, fragrance and joy when we work on them. May this Ramzan bring everyone peace. Ameen."

Pakistani actors and singers uploaded Instagram Stories to express their joy at the start of Ramazan. Ali Rehman Khan, Sarah Khan, Sana Javed, Ayesha Omar, Asad Siddiqui, Asim Azhar, Falak Shabbir, and many more were among the well-wishers.
