Precious copper wire worth thousands of rupees weighs about 18 kg

Railways Police Mughalpura Workshops Division arrested a man who stole railway material during the fourth consecutive operation this week.

Accused Abdullah was caught while fleeing after stealing valuable copper wire from carriage shops of Mughalpura.

The railway contractual survey employee was arrested by duty officer Abdul Saboor with the help of a special branch representative and a patrolling constable when he was trying to carry the stolen valuable wire by jumping over the boundary wall.

In preliminary investigation, the accused admitted that he had stolen the wire from the bogie parked in the yard.

The precious copper wire worth thousands of rupees weighs about 18 kg.

A case has been registered against the accused Abdullah in the Railways Police Workshops and the investigation has been started.

During this week, Railways Police Mughalpura Division have arrested four railway employees and recovered valuable railway material.

During the investigation, on the identification of one of the accused, the SHO Workshops have also arrested a junk dealer from whom stolen railway material was recovered.
