Nine injured as two student groups clash

At least nine people were injured during a clash between two student groups in the Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Kallar Syedan.

Police said that an injured student was brought to the hospital after two student groups clashed at the Kallar Kahar college.

According to the police, the injured was being treated in the hospital, when students showed up there and stormed into the hospital’s emergency ward.

The students clashed and damaged the hospital’s property during the scuffle. Panic and fear spread among the hospital staff due to the clash. Some unidentified people also opened fire.

Both groups used bricks, sticks and stones to attack each during the fight, and as a result, eight more people present in the hospital were injured. Patients visiting the hospital faced serious problems during the clash.

During the fight, the emergency ward was vandalised and hospital property was damaged, which disrupted the treatment of patients.

Police said that as soon as the clash at the hospital was reported, a heavy force reached the spot and detained 10 people. Police said that a case will be registered and more arrests will be made.
