LAHORE:

An FIR was registered against senior Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders Fawad Chaudhry and Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Tuesday for allegedly inciting hatred among the public against state institutions.

The first information report (FIR) has been lodged on the complaint of sub-inspector Race Course police station in Lahore and includes charges of issuing threats, blocking roads, hate speech, and others.

The controversial statements were made by the PTI leaders on Sunday when party chief Imran Khan evaded arrest as his supporters prevented the Islamabad police from entering his Zaman Park residence in Lahore amid high drama.
